Notes:
Previous owners planted double row of cryptomeria for privacy screen, about 12 years ago, 6 or fewer feet apart. Trees are about 45′ tall, 15′ wide, and taking over back yard. If we remove the inner row of trees, the remaining trees will be brown where they grew next to the removed trees. 1- Will that brown side of the trees ever green up? Or will it stay brown, bare and ugly? 2- If it stays brown forever, what evergreens could we plant to hide the ugly but that will not take over the backyard?
