Notes:
It grows in East Tennessee. My dog has eaten some of the berries, and I am especially worried to find out if they might be poisonous

Maybe mapleleaf viburnum (Viburnum acerifolium). According to sources, the fruits of some species in the Viburnum are edible but others are mildly poisonous. Check out the mapleleaf viburnum and see if you have a match. you could try the ASPCA for whether it’s harmful to consume by your dog. Best wishes! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viburnum_acerifolium
