This is a young volunteer tree on the edge of the woods. This is the first time it’s had these nuts. Can you tell me what it is?

I wishes I could see more details of the tree i.e. the whole tree, close up of bark, etc… I’m taking a guess, maybe a type of hickory (Carya) & its immature nuts (?).
