Notes:
I have a large fig tree growing in the fence. I have read that the horizontal branches are the ones that produce figs. It appears all the horizontal branches are higher up. What should I prune so that there is more fruit production lower to the ground?

over a 3 year period, remove one of the big vertical trunks each year. Make the cut around 4 ft high. pinch out the growing tips of the resulting new growth when they reach 6′ high
