Notes:
Found it walking along a little used road. There appears to be some kind of light blue fruit growing on it, which is what got my attention.

Jim Unregistered says:
Mahonia. Common name is Oregon grape. An attractive, but highly aggressive invader in the Southeast, from the Pacific Northwest. Birds love its fruit, and can spread thickly throughout a forest understory if left to do so. Its popularity as a shrub is what got it started here.
