Notes:
I need help identifying 2 trees, particularly the one on the right in the first image (the 2nd image is more of the tree that is on the left of image #1, and the 3rd image is more of the tree that is on the right of image #1). I would love to plant the one on the right if it’s not invasive, but I can’t figure out what it is.

Although commonly called “cherry laurel” by many, “laurel cherry” is more apt, as it is in fact a cherry (prunus), whose leaves resemble laurel. USDA plants database reflects this choice. https://plants.usda.gov/core/profile?symbol=PRCA

According to sources, privet (Ligustrum) and cherry laurel (Prunus laurocerasus) are toxic to dogs. To my eyes your plant on the right could be Carolina cherry laurel (Prunus caroliniana)(?). The plant on the left looks like a species of privet, I can’t tell exactly which one this is. check out these included links to compare to yours. Best wishes! I’ve been told the one on the left is privet and the one on the right is cherry laurel, both of which are invasive, and the berries are toxic to dogs. Does that sound correct?
