She dug up this bulb in her flower garden. It hadn’t come up. Does anyone know what it might be? Noperc, not a blueberry bagel.

I’m taking a wild guess only. A squirrel’s food stash in “scatter hoarding” method maybe? The shape & color looks similar to those fruits from the Japanese persimmon (Diospyros kaki ‘Tamopan’)(?).
