Notes:
My new Tamukeyama Japanese maple is losing limbs of leaves that are dry, curled and dead. We had a wet spring here in St louis, Mo and I thought fungus when large fungus gnats appeared. I caught them w/ yellow fly paper and vinegar traps. Tree still dying in draught. I withheld watering. This spread to an established Japanese crimson maple and having same results. I have 4 more of these trees. I keep the area cleaned of leaves and debris. I used a Sulphur spray to no avail. What should I do?
