Notes:

The plant was given to me 30 years ago by my mother in law. Has always grown lush and vigorously. Recently being susceptible to some insect ( tiny black rounded insect, barely able to see it )which is why looks so delicate. Trimmed all compromised leaves and sprayed with soapy water. Please help me identify this plant, help is appreciated.

    I can’t the insect clear enough to identify it. Maybe the link below can help further. Your plant looks similar to aleafy cactus called wax rose/rose catus species in the Pereskia genus. Unfortunatly with out flowers I’m unable to narrow down its ID. You can grow this rose cactus outside during the warmer months. Best wishes! http://savvygardening.com/types-of-houseplant-bugs/
