magenta spreen lambsquarters or goosefoot

Control method? I deliberately grow Chenopodium giganteum… tree spinach. While it’s young and tender, prepare like spinach… after it gains some height, pinch the tops for the pot. Once this desirable sets seed, you can gather the seed, and cook like quinoa… or… leave standing for the winter songbirds… I cooked some of the toasted seeds in my pancakes last winter, but… the birds liked it soooo much… It was kinda like stealing… to take the seeds. Deer and livestock will happily graze this plant… I actually had to put up a deer fence to keep them from killing all my lambsquarter.

Maybe something in the Chenopodium genus? Although yours looks similar to C. giganteum, but I’m only speculating. Check out these links for images & information. Link below is for C. giganteum.
