Notes:
Is this a Callery pear? I have these growing up throughout my property. They send long, tapered vines up into whatever tree or bush they are near and take over. Some plants are many years old, the woody trunks (which are low to the ground) are several inches thick and the vines have thorns that are about three inches long… thus the title. I just finished destroying one trunk that had approximately 20 woody vines growing out of it and invading an adjacent red top.
