With out its flowers to tell, although it does look like one. I could only speculating here, if this is a vegetable, it might be in the Brassicaceae family. The vegetable groups under Brassica rapa genus are turnip, varieties of Asian greens, Chinese/Napa cabbage etc… Link below with more information . Again I’m only speculating, to confirm if it is an edible plant, you should contact the Master Gardnerners or Food Gardening program at the Cortland Agriculture Extension with the second link.
