Notes:
Just wish to identify this plant, so I can research and see if I can cut large middle stalk( not shown, but grows about 5 metres high) without killing plant

Agree with Laura. If 5m tall, large fleshy leaves, it most looks like Furcraea foetida. Close ups of the plant would help.

Not able to see the “large middle stalk”, I’m speculating this could be some thing in the Agavaceae family. Check out Furcraea foetida ‘Mediotpicta’, a sport of the giant false agave, Cuban hemp and see if you have a match. According to sources these plants die after flowering, but will produce plantlets for reproduction. If this is not F. foetida, make new post with photo of the ‘large middle stalk’.
