Notes:

I found this little plant on a bus two days ago and want to know what it is so I can take care of it well. Its about 3 inches tall and has deep green, slightly fuzzy textured leaves and a dark red stem and underside of leaves (1st pic). I think it might be dying because some of the leaves have brown spots and are turning crisp (2nd pic). It had another small sprout next to the main stem when I found it, but it’s shriveled up now (3rd pic).

Hi Sam, with out flowers to help narrow down, I could only guess your plant could be in the Gesneriaceae family? I don’t know what the problem of your plant is, but ease up on the watering for now and get in touch with the folks at the Generiaceae Society New England Chapter below. Perhaps they could help in ID its genus and growing culture. Best wishes! https://sites.google.com/site/negesneriad/
