Hi guys. Thanks for accepting me. I know you all are in Georgia but still hope you can help. My yard was pretty much all weeds so I planted St Augustine sod. Now…I’m finding all this brown dead stuff. I thought it was some other plant/grass that died and I was removing it. Now I’m not sure if I am pulling out dead/dying St Augustine or some other grass. I read about take all rot….so maybe that? The brown clumps have hairy roots and the leaves seem more pointed/wiry than St Augustine.

i dont know. i have looked at several grasses that it could be IMO but I’m not good with identifying. I’m sure some is SA….but the stuff mixed in with the SA is turning brown.
