I,m excited. Looked it up and it is indeed deppea splendens. Not too excited though as we have frost for a few nights in January. Will have, to find out if I can cover it with something to protect it. Thanks again for your invaluable assistance.

Maybe Deppea splendens? According to sources D. spendens is very sensitives to cold and need protection from frost. Check it out and see if you have a match. Link below has more information.
