Notes:
Aggressive plant with jagged leaves, flowers, berries. Red or purple new growth stem becomes woody as it matures. Attracts wasps, hornets, bees July / August as it blooms. Here seen growing through and over a rosemary plant, but seen in numerous places growing along road sides, sidewalks, hill sides, etc. Wondering if potentially poisonous?

whatweed Master Identifier says:
peppervine. The fruit is eaten with various results. I’ll consider eating it when all other food is gone.
