Notes:
Sandy-type soil, NOT clay. Lawn planted from seed 5 to 7 years ago, doing well until last year. Grass started dying in multifocal patches that are getting larger gradually. 1st photo: whole lawn, 2nd photo: close up of grass plants, 3rd photo: one of the patches close up. On the 2nd photo you will notice if you zoom in that in the leaves that are yellowing, there are small circular brown lesions with white centers. Any ideas as to cause and treatment would be appreciated.

Bobby Master Identifier says:
I would contact your Alabama Cooperative Extension Service in Russell Co. http://www.aces.edu/counties/Russell/ See if they can receive a turf sample for diagnostics: http://www.aces.edu/dept/plantdiagnosticlab/ The best centipede grows in full sun: 180 degree horizons. A narrow slice of blue sky from 12 to 2 just doesn’t promote longevity in the centipede lawn.
