At the outset, thank you for this great service. My last plant was identified by Laura. My grateful namaskarams to her. I found this plant on a hill side in the Turahalli forest, southern Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The plant was about 3 feet. I apologise for the bad quality of my photo.

Maybe this is Argyreia cuneata – Purple Morning Glory, Purple Convolvulus, Mysore Argyreia. If this is the right id, it is a host plant for Golden Tortoise Beetle, Aspidimorpha (s. str.) sanctaecrucis. If you look up the beetle you will see a bush similar to your plant.
