Notes:
Plants are 1 to 2 foot tall, growing wild under my blueberry bushes. The marble sized orange fruit are ripening now (mid Sept.). The fruit has a mild pepper flavor.

I’m not eating them, but I did taste a couple of them and then spit it out. Too bad they are poisonous because the flavor is not bad. Thank you for identifying my mystery plant as Jerusalem Cherry!

Are you really eating them? I’ve always read that they’re poisonous… Although… I’ve recently read that they’re not that poisonous to an adult… Compare with Jerusalem cherry solanum pseudocapsicum
