Notes:
This LARGE beetle was encountered in suburban Atlanta. I was told it was the size of a tennis ball. Any ideas?

Dynastes tityus. We’ve found several at our new property, a live female in the house and 3 dead males outside; cause of death unknown and their bodies were intact. Photos available. I’ve never seen anything like it before and was relieved to know they are completely harmless; in fact, they are bred and sold as pets!
