Notes:

Recently moved to Atlanta from Chicago so bermuda grass is new to me. Can anyone identify this weed which is expanding in my yard, and suggest a treatment? Thanks

At this point in the season crabgrass will be difficult to manage without multiple applications. Three sequential applications at 14 – 21 day intervals will be a good start using those controls applied by liscensed lawn care operators. The expense of these products in the packaging available would be prohibitive to home owners. DYI products are available of which trial and error could become as expensive as hiring it done, especially so when considering your time. The good news is crabgrass is a summer annual plant. It dies with the first frost. Plan on getting two preEmergent applications down next year and your crabgrass will be history. In the meantime keep it mowed ( rainfall permitting!) so that the crabgrass will be less competitive in your lawn. http://www.walterreeves.com/name-that-plant/help-what-is-this/
