These weeds have been bullying our backyard since this spring. They are thorny and grow extremely fast. We have been trying weed killer but so far non prevailed. Can anyone identify this weed and the solution to get rid of it? Thank you so much!

SO this is blackberry? It come sup like crazy. I SOAK it with vinegar, liquid dish soap, and salt…to NO avail..it comes right back in a different area. Help

Thank you guys!!! We just got Round Up and sprayed the roots, hopefully no more thorny plants in the backyard.

Don’t let blackberries bully you. Embrace them. Get in touch with your green side or purple maybe. Think about blackberry jelly and peanut butter sammiches. Ummmm. Ok, now get some Roundup Pro or similar product and mix at 3 oz per gallon of water. That oughta get it where it is growing away from desirable vegetation. It will also get anything else green it touches. So, you will need to continue hand pulling around desirable plants. It will take several weeks for the plant to die to the root. Yea I know, it only takes 15 seconds on TV.
