Notes:
I have ~30 Leyland Cypress trees that were planted approx. 3 years ago. They are about 25 feet tall. The leaves are turning brown from the inside out, starting at the bottom. What is the disease and how best to I treat them? Thank you.

I’ve found that Leyland cypress trees only do well for 10 years or so, then start turning brown in the middle. They do not accept pruning very well, either–cut off the green, and it does not regrow. Fast growers and provide good privacy, but not a long-lived selection for a screen.
