I’m with Buck on this one… While there is a similar looking perennial geranium that has a nice flower… this geranium is a seedy annual. About the only saving grace of this plant is that the rabbits eat it, and my other plants get a break.

Hello, Hopfroggy, I suggest that you will regret moving this plant into your yard. We consider it an agressive weed. It will get into your lawn and take over. Buck

I’m thinking Carolina Geranium or crane’s bill http://www.ppws.vt.edu/scott/weed_id/gerca.htm I’ve seen it frequently in Alabama and Georgia and is supposed to grow over much of the US. Some sites suggest it may be edible.
