Just noticed this on Walter’s home page. Thought it might help. http://www.walterreeves.com/gardening-q-and-a/boxwood-diseased-foliage/

I see some yellowing or, “oranging” if you will, on the left side of the plant. Okay so, from your description, this could be a symptom of Volutella leaf blight. See this link http://pnwhandbooks.org/plantdisease/boxwood-buxus-sp-volutella-leaf-and-stem-blight-canker Another link shows better closeup shots http://www.insectimages.org/series/viewseries.cfm?ser=165. To get eyes on your problem contact a local lawn/shrub care specialist or cut a branch and take it by your Dekalb Co.UGA extension service office. http://www.caes.uga.edu/extension/dekalb/index.html
