Notes:
The rain and warm winter weather are allowing this grass to grow rapidly. It’s spreading very quickly also. Ignore the fat spoiled dog! For as many growths I pull out, the next day there are 10 more to replace it. It’s actually starting to move into my neighbors yard. My backyard didn’t have many a week ago, but now it’s everywhere. What can I use to kill it and should I wait until spring or dump something on the yard now??? Thanks for any help!

Bobby Master Identifier says:
Looks like annual ryegrass. The best thing to put on it is 28 days of 85 degree temperatures. Some guys feel like they just have to do something. Those that fall into that catagory should spend some money on Revolver herbicide: http://www.supremeturfproducts.com/PDF/revolver.pdf . Two applications may be needed as per label recommendations. With these applications in place you should have a nice clean bermuda lawn after about 14 days of 85 degree temperatures. You may also have most of a guart of Revolver herbicide left. Hire a lawncare service, spend about the same amount of money, be patient until hot weather and enjoy your bermuda this summer. One more pointer: fall preEmergents will eliminate most of the spring eye sores in warm season lawns.
