Notes:
This is a small tree growing in Newnan, GA. It has lots of suckers in the drip line area, and has large leaves like a philodendron, according to the homeowner. The bark is smooth. The tree is in part shade. The homeowner wants to cut it down because of the suckers, but it’s so pretty, I wanted an ID on it before he takes action.

Walter Reeves The Georgia Gardener says:
Are the rings actually damage to the bark? Can we get a closeup?

Buck Master Identifier says:
This appears to be a white mulberry. They are terribly invasive. Once they get a foot in the door, they will be there forever. Buck
