Notes:
I have often seen this wild plant growing along roadsides, in fields and wondered what it is. I love the looks of the plant, especailly in a field by itself and the blooms on it radiates even in a gloomy rainy day. That is what we seen on Monday this week. Rain, this plant and along the roadside in Mississippi. I think I have seen it here in my state: Ga. and also NCarolina. What is it and is it hard to arridicate? Thanks Walter and staff your your information.

This looks like groundsel bush or Eastern Baccharis. It makes quite a show in the fall and this year I’m seeing a lot of it in West Georgia. If you can get a closer look at the bloom it would help you confirm the ID. http://www.walterreeves.com/gardening-q-and-a/groundsel-bush-identification/ http://people.duke.edu/~cwcook/trees/baha.html
