This was found wild and grows from tubers with long thin roots coming from the main tuber. It easily transplanted. The flowers close at dusk then open in the AM.

And so it is now that you’ve pointed me in the right direction, and thanks. This was found on the edge of a wooded area nowhere near another garden or similar plant, so seeds must have been dispersed there via animal (I guess).
