Looks like dinner! Compare your plant with this previous post to Walter all about “Pokesalad” http://www.walterreeves.com/gardening-q-and-a/pokeweed-poke-sallet/ According to the USDA distribution map, ya’ll got it.

Pokeweed. The mockingbirds seem to enjoy the fruit, in the Autumn, so I keep them around… Plus, they are very photogenic! http://stonethegardener.tumblr.com/post/25027168854/pokeberries-n-raindrops Some people eat the greens, but I’m afraid to try. The Constitution of the United States is said to have been written in pokeberry ink… Rich history in a plant seen as an undesirable weed by so many people.
