Students will become familiar with the botanical vocabulary used by plant identification guides and manuals and will learn to identify plants to species level using both technical botanical keys and popular field guides.

The gardens present unexpected plant combinations in vivid fall colors, sustainable and edible plantings, innovative outdoor living areas and serene water features. The private gardens of renowned designer and author Ryan Gainey are featured. During twilight hours on Saturday, two gardens will offer music and wine. Tickets benefit two Decatur non-profits.

Dahlia Society of GA Annual Show

Phone: 770-447-1405 | Dahlia growers from four states will bring 750-1,000 blooms to this show to compete for prizes & bragging rights. Dahlias of all sizes, forms, and colors will be on display. Dinner plate dahlias (10"-12" across) to pompon dahlias (2" across) and every size in between will be on the tables. The most common reaction when visitors enter the room is "WOW" when they see this exhibit hall full of these colorful flowers. There is nothing else quite like a dahlia show so come and see for yourself.
