This is the second of two tuber
sales/auctions that will be open to the
public this Spring. Locally grown, heat
tolerant dahlia tubers of every size, form &
color will be available. Many large 10\"
dinner plate varieties will be auctioned as

There will be Waterlilly dahlias, cactus form
dahlias, the beautiful semi cactus form

Cool-Season Grasses

The economic and ecosystem functions of
grasses will be reviewed. A hand-out will
be provided to aide with recognition of
vegetative or field characteristics of
common cool-season grasses of the SE. Using
the handout, students will work on
recognizing grass parts that are useful in
field identification. Fresh specimens will
be examined using hand lens. The last two
hours will be spent along powerline and
river trails at the SBG where students will
examine a wide variety of native and exotic
gra.

Chattahoochee Valley Daylily Society Show & Sale

Anyone is invited to enter daylilies from their home
garden.  Bring registered daylilies & their names to the
Discovery Center between 9:00 a.m. & 10:30 a.m. 
Chattahoochee Valley Daylily Society volunteers will assist
participants in classifying & setting up their entry.  There
is no cost to participate in the competition other than
admission to the Gardens.  Small cash prizes will be
awarded for the winning daylilies by category.
The event is in the Discovery Center.
